now appearing in the blog "Shades of Black & White" online exhibition
Traditionally, I have created works in color, whether they be bright, bold, subdued, painterly of pastoral. My belief was that color was the only choice I had in terms of conveying my emotion and expressions. Recently someone challenged me to try my style of expression in black and white or the absence of color. I was a bit cautious with how this would turn out but I have discovered that expressions of my work are just as expressive and dramatic using only black and white. The lack of color forces people to focus solely on the shades of Black and White and the expressions this creates.

Archival - A non-technical term that suggests that a material or product is permanent, durable, or chemically stable, and that it can therefore safely be used for preservation purposes. the phrase is not quantifiable; no standards exist that describe how long an “archival” or “archivally sound” material will last. That being said, all of our prints and frames are made using archival materials and when stored appropriately will exceed a lifespan of at least 70 years.
